About the Cover

Cover Figure

On the cover: Th17 cells infiltrate the kidneys of mice with lupus nephritis. Immunohistochemistry shows perivascular, interstitial, and glomerular infiltration of Th17 cells in control lupus mice. This inflammatory cell infiltration is prevented by low-dose tolerance therapy with nucleosomal histone peptide H4 (71-94). Kang, H.-K., M. Liu, and S. K. Datta. 2007. Low-dose peptide tolerance therapy of lupus generates plasmacytoid dendritic cells that cause expansion of autoantigen-specific regulatory T cells and contraction of inflammatory Th17 cells. J. Immunol. 178: 7849–7858.
