On the cover: Fused cells (shown in yellow) were efficiently generated between mouse dendritic cells (red) and irradiated melanoma cells (green) using inactivated HVJ (Sendai virus). Immunization with the fused cells plus CpG oligodeoxynucleotides effectively induced antitumor immunity and provided significant protection against lethal s.c. tumor challenge and spontaneous lung metastasis. Hiraoka et al. Enhanced tumor-specific long-term immunity of hemaggluttinating virus of Japan-mediated dendritic cell-tumor fused cell vaccination by coadministration with CpG oligodeoxynucleotides. J. Immunol. 173:4297.
