On the cover: Molecular modeling of the preferred interaction of I-As with the encephalitogenic region of myelin-associated oligodendrocytic basic protein, MOBP15-36, predicts the experimentally confirmed core epitope for the encephalitogenic T cells, MOBP20-28. The same region contains a preferred interaction with HLA-DRA*0101, HLA-DRB1*1501, one of the HLA molecules associated with multiple sclerosis, at MOBP18-26. Kerlero de Rosbo et al. The myelin-associated oligodendrocytic basic protein region MOBP15-36 encompasses the immunodominant major encephalitogenic epitope(s) for SJL/J mice and predicted epitope(s) for multiple sclerosis-associated HLA-DRB1*1501.
