-Lipoproteins with Specific Precipitates of Chicken Antibodies and Human Serum AlbuminFrom the Department of Microbiology, Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, Connecticut
Abstract
The coprecipitation of
-lipoprotein with specific precipitates of HSA and chicken antibodies (8% NaCl) has been demonstrated by gas chromatography. The precipitin curves obtained with the
-lipoprotein-depleted sera in the presence of EDTA were reproducible despite aging at refrigerator or freezer temperature. The curves for the depleted sera had the same macroglobulin-type contour as the untreated serum, but had lower values throughout the antigen range tested.
-Lipoprotein depletion produced no change in equivalence point, but it appeared to decrease the sensitivity of the antibody to 2-ME.
